FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

About AR, VR, The Metaverse, and AI

What is exactly Augmented Reality (AR)?

Augmented reality (AR) is a technology that overlays digital information, such as images or text, onto the physical world. It is often experienced through a smartphone or tablet app or through AR glasses or headsets.

What exactly is Virtual Reality (VR)?

Virtual reality (VR) is a simulated experience that immerses the user in a completely virtual environment via some form of the device (i.e., VR headset or helmet). Often, a person can also interact with objects in the virtual space, which enhances the experience.

What are some examples of Virtual Reality?

VR has applications in almost every field and industry. Virtual reality is everywhere, from pilots and doctors training with VR headsets and everyday users playing immersive games like BeatSaber to fashion brands and automotive companies creating entirely immersive showrooms. Whether you like it or not, VR is here to stay.

What is the difference between VR and AR?

Virtual reality (VR) is the complete immersion into a simulated environment via a headset. In contrast, augmented reality (AR) is an enhanced version of the physical world that can be achieved with AR glasses or even your phone (think: Pokemon GO). Just remember: if you can see physical world elements, it’s AR. If everything around you is digital, you’re in VR. Simple!

What are some practical applications of AR?

Augmented reality (AR) has a variety of practical applications, including in fields such as healthcare, training & education, retail, and marketing. For example, AR can be used to visualize medical procedures, enhance learning experiences, and provide interactive product demonstrations in stores.

What are some practical applications of VR?

VR has a variety of practical applications, including in fields such as gaming, architecture, retail, and education. For example, VR can be used to create immersive gaming experiences, visualize architectural designs, or provide exposure therapy for people with phobias.

Which is better: VR or AR?

We get asked this question often, and there isn’t a simple answer. AR and VR both have significant applications in every industry, but some projects are better suited to one rather than the other. Factors to consider are cost, accessibility, and application. Don’t know where to start? That’s where we come in. Contact us today!

What is a Virtual Showroom?

Virtual Showrooms are immersive spaces that allow consumers to interact and engage with products, environments, and avatars. These 3-D rendered spaces are tailor-made to your brand and can include external links to e-shops, downloadable content, and complex design elements. This is one of our most popular services and one that we believe has a simple and direct application in various industries. Find out more here.

What is the Metaverse?

The 3D spaces in the Metaverse allow us to socialize, learn, collaborate, and play in ways that go beyond what we could ever imagine. Stepping into a new and highly immersive reality lets your business acquire new and keep existing customers, giving them a shopping experience with realistic models, immersive 3D content, and realistic AR filters.

What are some potential benefits of the Metaverse?

The Metaverse has the potential to offer a range of benefits, such as providing new avenues for social connection, facilitating remote work and education, and creating new opportunities for commerce and entertainment.

What is AI?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to computer systems designed to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. These include understanding language, recognizing patterns, solving problems, and making decisions. AI powers everything from chatbots and recommendation engines to advanced analytics and automation tools.

What Does AI Stand For?

AI stands for “Artificial Intelligence.” It encompasses technologies and systems that simulate human cognitive functions like learning, reasoning, and self-correction.

When Was AI Invented?

The concept of AI dates back to the 1950s. The term “Artificial Intelligence” was first coined by John McCarthy in 1956 at the Dartmouth Conference, marking the birth of AI as a field of research.

How to Use AI?

Using AI can be as simple as integrating AI-powered tools into your daily workflow—like virtual assistants, AI analytics, or customer support chatbots. Businesses often embed AI into apps and systems to automate tasks, analyze large datasets, and enhance user experiences.

How Can I Use AI in Sales?

AI in sales can automate lead scoring, personalize outreach, forecast trends, and generate insights from customer data. Tools like AI-powered CRMs or chatbots help streamline workflows and improve conversion rates by targeting the right customer with the right message at the right time.

What Can AI Do?

AI can analyze data, generate content, translate languages, drive autonomous vehicles, provide customer support, detect fraud, personalize marketing—and much more. It adapts to different industries and goals, making it one of the most versatile tools in modern tech.

Why Is AI Good?

AI enhances efficiency, reduces errors, lowers costs, and enables personalization at scale. When used responsibly, it augments human capabilities and helps businesses and individuals make smarter, faster decisions.

What Can AI Do for Business?

AI can transform business operations by automating repetitive tasks, uncovering insights from big data, improving customer experiences, and enabling faster, data-driven decisions. From marketing and HR to supply chain and product development, AI opens new pathways to innovation and growth.
