Head of 3D

We are looking for a Senior Head of 3D who can help us create new projects in VR/AR
and lead our in-house and external team of 3D Artists.

Head of 3D role:

– Coordinate new project(s) in VR/AR and lead a group of 3D Artists (Generalists, Modelers, Animators, etc.)

– Tackle short-term and long-term various projects

Partner with Project Managers to ensure team resources are balanced across all projects

– Also work with graphic designers and developers

– Take projects from concept to delivery

– Ensure consistence high quality of work 

– Bring creative ideas

We are looking for a person who:

– Has video game art background

– Is highly organized individual who enjoys the creative process and managing a 3D department

– Has at least 1+ year of experience in leading team(s)

– Has sense of aesthetic

– Is a challenge seeker

– Has sense of ownership

– Has proficiency in English (Czech, Slovak is a plus)

Technologies for 3D Artist:

– Able to perform as a senior 3D Generalist in the following areas: modelling, texturing, animation, rigging, shading, lighting, rendering, effects

Strong understanding of lighting principles, color theory, and latest techniques in 3D computer graphics 

– Highly proficient in 3D Modeling software (e.g. Maya, 3dsMax, etc.), Sculpting (Zbrush), Texturing (Substance Painter/Designer, Marmoset Toolbag)

– Experience with animations, VFX, and game engines is a big plus

What might your week look like?

Mondays start with team meetings and stand-ups, then going through the projects/tasks which are our biggest priorities. During the week, it’s important to check in with the team periodically to keep up to date with what’s going on while tackling different tasks with them. 

Together with the team, we like to go for lunch, and coffee breaks, and at the end of the day, sometimes we end up in the game zone. In addition, we are doing monthly Breakfast gatherings with Tech news, traditional monthly parties, and more events, so that everybody can get to know each other better.
