Bringing California’s wine country to life through an augmented reality portal.

In partnership with GDX Studios, we created the software for Visit Tri-Valley’s AR campaign. During a two-day pop-up in San Jose’s Santana Row, visitors stepped through a door to a panoramic 3D view from Mount Diablo—exploring local attractions, historic downtowns, and vineyards brought to life through immersive storytelling.

The brief
Visit Tri-Valley wanted to move beyond traditional advertising, so they introduced an immersive AR experience powered by 8th Wall. By scanning a QR code, users could see through a door representing a portal to the view from Mount Diablo. After walking through the door, a 360° scene showcases the region’s attractions in an unexpected urban setting.
